Use the search icon in the top-right corner to find recipes by title, ingredient, keyword, and more. Please note that search results will not display until you hit Enter or Return.
On a larger device, the first categories appear at the top of the screen, and the rest go to a "More" menu. On a smaller device such as a phone, click the three lines menu at the top-left of the screen, and the categories will appear. Tap a category to view recipes.
If the text is too large or small, it can be changed on most (~ 90%) of recipes.
This trick works on most devices, not just the Jobes Recipe Center
Click the Aa icon at the top of the screen
Click the A button to make the text smaller or the A button to make it larger.
or use Command + and Command -
Use Ctrl + and Ctrl - [Windows/Linux/ChromeOS] or Command + Command - [Mac] to zoom in (+) or out (-)
Or do the following:
Click the three-dots menu at the top right
Use the + and - zoom controls in the menu that appears
The process is similar on other devices.
IMPORTANT: the Recipe Center will remember the text size you selected, so if you make it smaller, it will stay smaller unless you make it bigger again, even if you go to a different recipe or leave and come back another day.
Press the "J" logo in the plate at the top-left corner to return home.
Press the blue "Done" button in the top-left of the toolbar or the "J" logo in the plate to return home.
Click the share icon at the top or bottom of the screen (box with arrow)
Press "Copy Link" to copy the URL to your clipboard, or press an app to share. For example, press "Messages" to text a recipe, or "Mail" for email.
The Recipe Center uses your iPhone or iPad's built-in WebClip Toolbar to feel most familiar.
The toolbar is a helpful tool for performing functions within a recipe.
Regardless of which toolbar you have, the buttons still perform the same functions.
Done - returns you to the homepage
Aa or rectangle with two lines below (depending on your device's age) - brings up a menu with several options. The following will be the ones you are most likely to use:
Show Reader or Reader View - removes the background image and switches to a plain font that may be easier to read.
Zoom controls - click the little A to make text smaller, and the big A to make text bigger. IMPORTANT: the Recipe Center will remember the text size you selected, so if you make it smaller, it will stay smaller unless you make it bigger again, even if you go to a different recipe or leave and come back another day.
< and > - back and forward buttons. Use these the same you would on a web browser. Press < to return to the previous page, or > to go forward.
Reload button - reloads the webpage.
Box with arrow up - press this to copy the link or share. When you press it, "Copy" copies the link and different apps will present their own options. For example, press "Messages" to text the recipe, or "Mail" to email it.
Compass icon - opens the recipe in the website instead of the app.
Press Ctrl P or go to the three vertical dots at the top-right corner and press "Print"
Expand the "More Settings" dialog
Make sure "Background Graphics" is unchecked. This will minimize ink usage by removing background images and text.
Click "Print"
Click the share icon at the top or bottom of the screen (box with arrow)
Press "Print" and select your printer and settings.
